Terms and conditions
Membership is through authorisation of the group manager.
Membership Terms
- The VNDG reserves the right to remove anyone who is misusing the group in any way, on any associated platform, for purposes other than Veterinary Nursing Dermatology
- Members will be required to renew after 1 year or their membership will pass into our archive section
- Membership to the group is free, however the VNDG reserves the right to change this with prior notice to members ready for this to take effect on a specified renewal date.
- The group is not to be used for non-authorised commercial marketing other than by authorised sponsorship parties.
- Abusive behaviour and foul language will not be tolerated on any platform or event associated with the group.
- The VNDG does reserve the right to use content posted on the Facebook page or other affiliated platforms for use in discussion or lecture presentations and articles relating to the VNDG
- Any member wishing to use content posted on the Facebook page or other affiliated platforms for use in discussion or lecture presentations and articles must seek permission from the VNDG when doing so
- Membership does not guarantee attendance to any VNDG affiliated meeting or course; this is achieved by necessary application and by any payment for that specific event on a first come first serve basis, or as advertised
- The VNDG reserves the right to change these terms and conditions, with notice to existing members.
GDPR Policy Statement
The VNDG is committed to holding only such personal data relating to its members as it deems necessary to effectively deliver the services that we provide to them as members.
In addition to the information provided on the membership application form, we understand that you will from time to time find it necessary to supply us with personal information relating to your practices and possibly other organisations or entities – for example contact information required for us to provide support and information or arrange visits or attendance to a VNDG event. We undertake to use this information only in so far as it is required to deliver the group services or by law. For the avoidance of doubt, the VNDG is funded and facilitated by Vetruus Ltd and as such this will include them holding this information and may include them sharing this information with organisations and individuals whom they have contracted in order to deliver their services, including but not limited to staff employed by them or their contractor staff.
In providing us with such information, you are confirming that you have the consent of the person(s) or entity to which it relates to share this information with us.
In all cases, we will take all reasonable and appropriate measures to ensure that the information provided:
- Is used only for the purpose for which it has been supplied;
- Is held securely and only for as long as is necessary for us to effective deliver group services;
- Will not be shared with any other person or organisation other than as outlined above; other than where permission is granted by members to share this data with other sponsorship parties attending events
- Is accessible, retrievable, correctable and removable throughout the period that it is retained by us;
Marketing
The VNDG reserves the right to email members with information relevant to the group and their membership, including promotions and relevant marketing from group sponsors.
We will only send you information relating to the VNDG, including new services that we believe may be of interest to you. We will not share your details with any other organisations other than where we are required by law to do so, and we will not send you information relating to services offered by third parties. All communications will be sent directly from the VNDG and not from any third-party sponsors or other organisations.
Member Privacy Agreements
All members also agree to follow the following privacy agreements:
- Any pictures placed on the VNDG Facebook page or any presentations or discussion affiliated with the VNDG must only be done where the person owns the copyright to the picture. This is defined by either them being the person who has taken the picture or been given permission to use the picture by the person who did take it.
- Also where possible the patient in any picture is not to be identifiable.
- All pictures used must be for the benefit and discussion of group members
- No sensitive data from any pet owner is to be included with any case details, such as surname or address.
