Virtual CPD Winter 2020 – 19th November 2020

The VNDG is once again hosting its winter event online for 2020. We have two exciting panels lined up in one day, one looking at dermatology nursing around the world and the other focusing on the UK.

With a headline presentation on atopic dermatitis from one of our panelists Frances Gaudiano MA VN Dipl Derm, author of the book: Veterinary Dermatology: A Manual for Nurses and Technicians.

1.00pm – 2.00pm GMT – Worldwide Dermatology Nursing Panel
Our Worldwide Dermatology Nursing Panel, with nurses from around the world sharing their experience in dermatology nursing and taking questions, focusing on how a nurse getting involved in dermatology interacts with their vets.

7.30pm – 9.30pm GMT – UK Dermatology Nursing Panel
Rejoin us in the evening when the first of our UK panel, Frances Gaudiano, is going to present to us on how nurses can get involved in managing atopic dermatitis before the rest of the UK panel join to share their experiences and take questions.

Virtual CPD Spring 2020 – 1st April 2020

The VNDG Virtual Spring 2020 meeting, with Nicola Ackerman PGDip RVN CertSAN CertVNECC VTS(Nutrition) and Clara Macfarlane RVN CertVBM, will be held on Wednesday 1st April 2020.

Registration is FREE and if you watch the lectures live on the day, you will be sent a VNDG dermatology toolbox complete with everything you need for a skin workup; plus you will be able to ask questions during the lectures to our speakers.

A Master Class on Otitis – 28th November 2019

“A Master Class on Otitis” with Dr Susan Paterson MA VetMB DVD Dip ECVD FRCVS Recognised Specialist in Veterinary Dermatology, will be held on Thursday 28th November 2019 at the Royal Society of Medicine in Wimpole Street, London.

Attendance is FREE and includes lunch, your own VNDG dermatology toolbox complete with everything you need for a skin workup, and a £20 gift card to spend later in nearby Oxford Street! Registration is at 10.30am and concludes at 4pm, just in time to hit the shops.

The class includes three lectures from Dr Sue Paterson on the nurses role in Otitis and gives you the chance to ask Sue any questions or put forward any difficulties you have with ear cases in your practice. The day aims to educate and equip you to get involved with your practice ear cases, from the simple to the complex.

CPD meeting – 3rd April 2019

We were delighted to announce that the very first Veterinary Nursing Dermatology Group member event was held at the BSAVA Congress. The FREE event was exclusive to VNDG members at the ICC Birmingham on Wednesday 3rd April 2019, the day before BSAVA Congress. The event started with lunch followed by four informative CPD sessions in the afternoon.
